Challenge

Launch a mystery subscription box for the Comic Con audience, coordinating with movie and television studios.

Process

  • Oversaw all aspects of the business unit with full ownership of the P&L, marketing and operations including performance marketing, email, website design and UX, sourcing, logistics, and customer service.

  • Brokered partnerships with 20th Century Fox, Penguin Random House, Fox TV, and regional event partners such as Phoenix Comic Con and Long Beach Comic Con.

Key Achievements

  • Partnerships with regional Comic-Cons sold 1,500+ units in the first 30 minutes of launch.

  • Secured partnership with Fox TV for exclusive Supply Pod for the reboot of the X-Files franchise, developing a unique merchandising mix of comic books and figurines, selling out in the first week.

  • Collaborated with 20th Century Fox to create an exclusive Supply Pod for the launch of “The Martian” with Matt Damon, promoting on Fox’s social media and through a joint PR push.
